OASIS:
There is a mass each Friday at 10.00am followed by tea/coffee and biscuits.
LENT STATIONS OF THE CROSS/FRUGAL LUNCH:
Each Friday during Lent at 11.30 am, the Chilworth SFO Fraternity are organising a praying of the Stations of the Cross in the Friary Church. This will be followed by a frugal lunch of soup, bread, cheese and biscuits at approximately 12.00 pm in the Assisi Room.
Why not make this day part of your Lenten Devotions?
There is scope for prayerful reflection in the Oratory or a walk in the beautiful and tranquil grounds.

Do YOU want to find some peace in your life?
Oasis, hosted by the Secular Franciscans every Friday, provides a space where you can take ‘time out’ in the peaceful surroundings of Chilworth Friary.
Your time at the Friary can be as structured or as unstructured as you wish – that is down to you – you can opt into any of the elements that make up the day – or just be on your own.
Oasis is available EVERY FRIDAY from 10am to 12pm but you can arrive and go as you please, staying for as long or as little time as you have available – even a half-hour of simple quiet can be very valuable!
What will you find if you decide to visit Oasis?
- * Mass is celebrated at 10.00am in the Friary church
* Coffee / tea and biscuits are available afterwards
* There is plenty of space both inside the Friary buildings and in the beautiful surroundings of the gardens for you to find a quiet place to just ‘be still’
* You could bring your own reading material or borrow some for the day
* There will be people around if you wish to spend time with someone who will listen or chat with you
* If you wish to speak to a priest that can usually be arranged
* You are welcome to bring a packed lunch – tea and coffee will be available
